Sincere Engineer's New Album: Probable Claws

Exploring Probable Claws de Sincere Engineer.

On June 26, 2026, Sincere Engineer released their album Probable Claws, and I couldn’t be more excited because Sincere Engineer is one of my favorite bands.

Led by Deanna Belos, Sincere Engineer is a punk rock band from Chicago, Illinois (my favorite city in the entire world). Over the years, they have performed at major events such as Riot Fest (my favorite festival in the world).

This is a band truly worth discovering. They have an incredible amount of potential, and everyone should experience them live at least once in their lifetime. I’ve had the privilege of attending four of their shows, and during one of those occasions, my wife and I were lucky enough to meet Deanna in person at a New Found Glory performance hosted by Chicago’s Q101 radio station.

Getting back to the purpose of this post, Probable Claws features a total of 11 songs that perfectly capture the pure essence of this incredible band.

The first single released from this record was “Cooler,” which also received its own official music video on YouTube.

Although that could be debated, since “Settle Up With Your Downfall” was originally released as a single in 2024 and was later included on this album. However, the 2024 version is different from the one featured on Probable Claws.

Personally, I have two favorite songs (even though I think the entire album is an absolute masterpiece): “DNA” and “LOL.”

From the perspective of a simple mortal like myself, “DNA” is about recognizing that automatic instinct to run away when things start becoming serious, especially in love or relationships, while taking an honest look inward at that struggle.

On the other hand, “LOL” focuses on the outside world and the things that disappoint us about it, creating that feeling of wanting to disappear and never be seen again.

And oh well, I'll be damned Right down to hell, then to another dimension And you won't see me again

Deanna Belos & Mike Sapone

The complete tracklist for the album is:

  • Twist My Tongue
  • Cooler
  • Pilot Light
  • DNA
  • LOL
  • Fast Forward, Rewind
  • Hallucinogenic
  • Arborvitae Evergreen
  • The Perfect Crime
  • Settle Up With Your Downfall
  • Dynamite

Sincere Engineer is currently touring in support of this album and still has upcoming dates across the United States. If you enjoy their music and want to check them out, this is a great opportunity to catch them live.

You can listen to the full album on platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and many others.

You can also purchase it physically through their website and at select record stores in the United States (I already bought my copy because it is absolutely worth it).

As Sincere Engineer would say:

“…and I shoulda said something, but I really said nothing…”

Stay in the Loop!
